I’m soso sorry for the lack of posts recently. I’ve been really motivated to blog but I’ve had exams lately and haven’t been able to because of revison. I’m going to try and post a lot more frequently from now on, but school is a cruel place.

Today I’m having a bit of a romp about mindfulness. Mindfulness is often classed as a type of meditation and is defined as:

“The basic human ability to be fully present, aware of where we are and what we’re doing, and not overly reactive or overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.”

I’ve been very stressed in recent weeks and mindfulness has helped to overcome this stress on many occasions. When practising mindfulness, I like to pick up an intricate object and study it closely. I find jewelry is good to look at because it’s usually very detailed and encourages thoughts about the making of the piece. Mindfulness helps me because it helps me take time to appreciate the beauty of small things, which I usually don’t recognise, and remember that everything takes time to make and perfect. I strongly recommend mindfulness to you to help stress.
