Day 21 – My Role Models

Hi!

As an impressionable teen in a world full of some pretty bad people and occurrences, I feel that it’s of high importance who I choose to look up to. I try to aspire to be like those who are kind, intelligent and stand for equality and peace in a world full of hate and fear. Aside from my family, here are a few people who I look up to.

1: Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Carpenter starred in the Disney show ‘Girl Meets World’ and, once it finished, went on to become a successful music artist. At only 18, she’s a hugely successful singer/writer. Sabrina inspires me because she’s shown me and many other girls across the world that you can follow your dreams no matter how young you are.

2: Jessie Paege

Jessie Paege is a YouTuber who is also 18 years old. I look up to her because she is a complete inspiration for all girls of my age. She sets an example by always being kind and accepting of everyone no matter who they are. Jessie also speaks openly about mental health and her own experiences in order to help others through her channel, and she always reminds her audience to take care of themselves. I think she’s an amazing individual.

3: Safiya Nygaard

Safiya is a YouTuber as well and I look up to her because she was super brave in leaving her old job at Buzzfeed to do YouTube. She makes incredible, original content and I’m so happy that she’s managed to keep up such an awesome channel whist being herself.

4: Malala

Malala Yousafzai is a remarkable young woman who won a Nobel Prize for her activism. She stood up for female education and is definitely an inspiration to females everywhere. If you haven’t heard of her, I strongly suggest you research her because she’s truly outstanding.

5: Ella Anne

This sounds super cheesy but one of my biggest inspirations is one of my best friends Ella. She’s always so nice to everyone she meets and works so hard to achieve her goals. Thanks for being a great friend Ella!

Check out Ella’s blog here.

Some other people who inspire me who I’ve already made posts about are:
