Day 29 – BOOK REVIEW: Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone

Hi!

I know I’m years late to the party, but yesterday I finished the first Harry Potter book! I loved it so much and I couldn’t fault the characters and settings. Though I thought that the book lacked structure at first, I loved the last few chapters as tension built and I couldn’t put the book down. I also love the air of mystery which is created towards the end of the book; and also the level of character development we see throughout the book, particularly in Hermione and Neville.

However, I did feel like the ending was slightly rushed and we should’ve had more time to recover from the huge shock Harry, and the reader, had just received. I’ve been told by many of my friends that the books get better as the series goes on, though, and I’m so excited to start the next one.

Thanks for reading! All photos by me, please ask permission before use!
