I’m doing another one of my personality metaphor things like yesterday. These sort of people I’m going to call Jigsaws, because they have so many different parts of them which come together to make a remarkable person.
Jigsaw
They are steaming hot mugs of tea which warm weary hands; they are boat rides over still seas and feeling sand between your toes. They are ancient leather briefcases full of vintage photographs. They are glass jars full of fireflies and magic. They are writing desks made of mahogany wood and bookshelves bursting with dusty hardbacks. They are spiral notepads and yellow and black striped pencils, and old decks of cards. They are stepping stones across bubbling brooks; inside a forest full of towering tree trunks. They feel like warm hugs on happy days and candles burning late at night. They are piles of sawdust and bricks and rustic farmhouses in the middle of nowhere. They are icicles hanging from roofs on winter mornings and seldom used board games and jigsaws which brought fun years ago. They are the thought of all the galaxies and planets that could possibly be out there, and the reminder that we live in a happy one. They are the feeling which you get before you drift off to sleep; complete tranquility. They are cooking dinner with your family and laughing. They are endless possibilities, new days. They are amazing.
